We may laugh at the Victorian era in the Capricorn phase but it is the foundation stone on which all modern progress rests.

Queen Victoria was coronated on 28 June 1838. Her chart has a Saturn-Pluto conjunction (tremendous authority – Saturn, and power – Pluto). at the very end of Pisces, corresponds to the end of Scorpio (water signs) phase in 1838 as seen above.
Her reign of 63 years and seven months made her the longest-reigning British monarch and the longest-reigning queen regnant in world history until her great-great-granddaughter Elizabeth II surpassed her on 9 September 2015. This provided a sense of stability (Capricorn) absent in other countries that made Britain reach its peak.
This neatly fits into the Sagittarius and Capricorn Pluto phases.
During this time there was social realism. Realistic literature flourished and solid, useful inventions like telephone, photography and industrial processes were developed. Being proper in speech and dress was important (Capricorn). Construction was in full swing (Capricorn). All the foundation blocks of modern society were laid during this time. The philosophies were spread during the Sagittarius phase by people like Charles Dickens and Charles Darwin. Those philosophies were put into practice in the Capricorn phase.
Telephone, movies and radio were invented in the Capricorn phase, the foundation of modern living. You can see it as the foundation of the sine curve we are on presently:
